Facebook is such a great tool to utilize for your business, especially as it is one of the most used social media sites. One of the great things about it is that it’s so versatile and there are so many ways you can use it to further your business.

Create a Business Page

First things first, create a business page on Facebook. This completely free to do, and really simple. Make sure to include all the relevant information when you do this, like a bit about what your business does, as well as a link to your website. You should also add a profile picture and cover photo or video to make sure you stand out and show off your brand.

Invite Likes

Now you have your business page, you need to get people to notice that you’re there. One quick and easy thing to try is to invite people to like your page, so if you have a huge list of friends, why not invite them all to like you page? Granted not all of them will, but you’ll get a good base to start building on from the people who do.

Give Likes

Another thing you can try is to ‘like’ pages as your page. Find some similar or related business pages to yours, even your direct competition. This way you can see what they post and share any relevant posts on your page as a way to entice new audiences. You can also gage the interests that get the most engagement from your audience.

Join Groups

Something else that’s worth doing is joining various Facebook groups, now unfortunately you can’t join groups directly as your business page, but you can as an individual, and depending on the rules of the group, you’ll be able to share content from your business page into the group and reach people that way.

Post Regularly

Once you have your page up and running the most important thing to do is post regularly. Now there are lots of different opinions out there as to how often you should post and what times you should post to get the most out of your content, but the most important thing is just to simply have an active presence on Social Media. It gives people a way to get a feel of your business and gives them an opportunity to understand what it really is that you offer.

In terms of what you post, that’s entirely up to you. You might want to post about the products or services that you offer or give advice and inspiration to your followers. Whatever it is, just make sure that it is relevant to your business and your audience. If you don’t think you’ll remember, or have the time, a great thing to do would be to schedule your posts in advance. Why not pick one day to do all the posts for the week, then schedule them for various times and days. That way you won’t have to worry about forgetting to do one. Your audience can also keep up to date on any business news.

Boost Posts

If you want to advertise, but don’t have the marketing budget to run a continuous campaign, why not try boosting a post, this is also a way of testing your content, rather than having to run an ad to do so, you can just compare all of your existing posts and see which ones perform the best. Then either choose from one of those and boost it, or create a new post based off the well performing ones and boost that.

Advertise

Advertise. This is possibly one of the best ways to get exposure for your business. Facebook Ads Manager has loads of different advertising options. You can choose from a variety of different placements too, like whether you want it to appear in people’s news feed, messenger, stories, or all of them! They even link to Instagram. There is a lot of competition on Facebook with adverts, purely due to the amount of people that use the platform and the potential it has for businesses. This just means you need to make the best ad that you possible can, and if you nail your target audience, you’ll be able to reach the right people and see positive results from your ads.

Link

On your website, make sure that you have links to your social media accounts, this makes it really easy for people to find and follow you. If you send out any emails to your customers, then always make sure to include social icons in those too. You can also put a link to your Facebook page on any other social media accounts that you have for your business. All these small details will help to build up your audience.
